I’ve been married and living in Colorado for 37 years, including the past 27 in Fort Collins and Timnath. A California-raised girl at heart, my soul still belongs to the sea and the calm and strength it brings. I live with my husband and our sheepadoodle, Hellie, and I’m also the very proud mom of three adult children.

For over a decade, my work with the Better Business Bureau Foundation has been grounded in trust, transparency, and ethics. Those same values now inform how I support individuals and families through end-of-life planning, caregiving, and loss.

That foundation has led me here to my next chapter in death care, where I’m passionate about normalizing conversations around death and dying. Through personalized education, planning, and compassionate presence, I support and guide individuals and families in preparing for a good death with intention and care. This is the work that feels most true to me ~ the work I am meant to do.

My path to becoming a death doula

training for compassionate
end-of-life care

My path to becoming a death doula began with a desire to better understand death and, in doing so, deepen my capacity for presence, clarity, and meaningful living.

In 2024, I completed the Going with Grace End-of-Life Training Program, founded by Alua Arthur, one of the leading voices in the modern death-positive movement. Inspired to continue growing my skills, I joined Farewell Fellowship, an intimate mentorship program led by Jade Adgate.  As part of a cohort of six doulas, I engaged in advanced study, practical skill-building, and thoughtful exploration of how to ethically and compassionately serve individuals and families navigating end-of-life experiences.

I am also NEDA Proficiency Certified through the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, reflecting nationally recognized standards of training, ethics, and professional accountability, and I am insured and registered with the State of Colorado in support of a professional, ethical, and trustworthy practice.

Together, these experiences continue to shape a practice grounded in:

  • Structured, informed guidance

  • Clear boundaries and professional integrity

  • Ongoing education and ethical practice

  • Respect for all people, your autonomy and values

This work is born from a deep well of love and loss for dear family members and friends whose legacies continue to ripple outward in care and guidance of this work.
